UNBOXING is a workshop and networking session directed towards and open to people from any artistic field like Theater, Dance, Music, Painting and beyond. It aims to create a safespace wherein participants will practice flexbility of body and mind, can get to know and share experiences with each other. It will employ methods based in theatre-acting, movement training, games and a little handcrafting to try and connect people in a meaningful and enjoyable way. There will be moving and lying on the floor :)
No special knowledge or skills required of participants, but please bring a pillow or yoga mat and come dressed in comfortable and flexible clothes as well as good humours.

Daryna Yurchenko is a freelance actress and puppeteer currently based in Dresden. Her and her Ukrainian Collaborator’s latest work Room premiered at Projekttheater Dresden in February 2024 and explored the emotional connection between people and their safe space.
Her work does not currently follow a specific pattern of work or style, each of them instead occuring like a conversation taking place in their own unique way. Now more than ever important themes of her work include the exploration and rethinking of issues such as home and identity.
